Student Visas

The Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows you to stay in Australia to study a full-time course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). The visa allows students to pursue a quality education, but applicants must satisfy the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) of their genuine temporary intent to study.

General Requirements for the Student Visa

To qualify for the Student Visa, applicants must generally meet the following major requirements:

  • You must be enrolled in a full-time course and provide a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from your education provider
  • You must demonstrate that you are a genuine temporary entrant, coming to Australia temporarily to gain a quality education and that what you are studying aligns with your career path and that there is a genuine need for you to study that specific course in Australia.
  • You must show evidence that you have access to sufficient funds to cover your living costs, tuition, and school costs for your time in Australia.
  • You are required to have adequate health insurance for the entire duration of your stay in Australia and must maintain it until you leave.
  • You must meet English language requirements
  • All applicants must meet health and character requirements
